Lockwood Elementary School
Welcome to Lockwood Elementary

The Lockwood Elementary family consists of Kindergarten, 1st grade, Montessori K-1, Early Childhood Special Ed and Great Start Readiness Preschool. The journey from preschool through first grade is the most critical window in a child's education. During these early years, the brain is developing at a rapid pace, building the core neural pathways that support all future learning. It is a unique phase where children transition from learning to play, to playing to learn, and finally, to decoding the world around them. We aren't just teaching letters, numbers, and routines; we are building the cognitive and emotional framework that shapes lifelong learners. When we invest deeply in these foundational years, we set children up to walk into the rest of their schooling with confidence and joy.
