My name is Matthew Marriott, and I am proud to serve as the Principal of ERMS. This school year marks my seventh year as principal and my thirteenth year serving the Eaton Rapids School District. Prior to becoming principal, I had the privilege of serving as both the Assistant Principal and Dean of Students here at the middle school.

As a lifelong member of the Eaton Rapids community, it is truly an honor to serve the students, families, and staff of the community that has always been home to me. I am passionate about helping every student succeed and creating a school environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued.

At ERMS, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. Our staff is committed to maintaining open communication with families, and every teacher can be reached by email or phone. If you have a question or concern about your child, I encourage you to contact their teacher first. With more than 500 students in our building, our classroom teachers know their students best and are often the best place to start. While our days are busy supporting students, we strive to respond to all communications within 24 hours.

You are your child's first teacher, and we truly value your partnership and input. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have questions, concerns, or ideas. We look forward to working together to make this a successful and rewarding school year for every student.
