Welcome to Band!

Melanie Rosin is currently the band director at Eaton Rapids Middle School and teaches music at Greyhound Intermediate Schools. She is in charge of 5th grade woodwinds and percussion, 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade bands. She also runs an after school jazz band. Previously, she worked in the Williamston community schools, St. Martha School in Okemos and St. Mary School in Williamston, teaching band, choir and general music. She plays euphonium with the Capital City Brass Band and also serves on their board of directors as secretary and past president. She is a member of the Leonard Falcone Euphonium and Tuba Festival board of directors. In the past, she has served as the assistant director of the New Horizons Adult Beginning Band through the Community Music School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Illinois and recently completed a master's degree from Michigan State University. She lives in East Lansing with her husband, David, and their son, Zachary.
