Parent Information

We believe that parent involvement is a part of student growth.  We invite parents to be involved with our school by volunteering, participating in school and PTO activities, attending conferences, assisting their child at home, and by having open and ongoing communication with the schools. Our full policy can be accessed with the following link.

Problems at School

If your child is having a problem at school or if you have a concern, please follow the steps in our district policy.  This policy is summarized below.

  • Talk with the teacher first and try to resolve the problem at this level.
  • Contact the principal if the problem is not resolved at the classroom level.

Attendance Policy/Procedure

Please call in all absences by 10:00AM.

If we have not heard from you, and your child is not in attendance, our automated system will message you.

Truancy

Absences called in by parents/guardians by 10:00 AM will be an excused absence.
Absences not called in by 10:00 AM will be unexcused.

Illness Policy

We follow Health Department recommendations when sending children home or excluding them from school.  Students will be sent home for the following:

  • Fever - 100 or above
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Unexplained rash
  • Other signs or symptoms of communicable diseases

Please keep your child home for a minimum of 24 hours after the fever is gone, without the use of medication; and after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhea.

If you need to leave medication at school for your child, please fill out our Permission for Medication form and return it to the office.
