Welcome to 7th ELA with Mrs. Hayhow!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Hayhow!   This is my 4th  year teaching & I'm so excited to be here in ER this year! I currently live in Battle Creek w/my husband. We have a crazy blind french bulldog, boxer mutt named Scout.   I was born & raised in Plainwell, MI (a town very much like like Eaton Rapids)! I recently moved back to Michigan after living & teaching for two years in New York City!   Favorites Color—Green Movie—All of the Harry Potter films TV Show—Parks and Rec Book—Anything by Barbra Kingsolver Food—Tacos Season—Fall Singer— (actually a band) The Lumineers Hobby—Camping and hiking with family Restaurant—Clinton St. Bakery on the Lower East Side in NYC

We wanted to give you a little information about this year.  Mrs. Hayhow will be teaching all Reading for the first semester of the year, while Mrs. Wegner will teach all Writing for the first semester. At Semester, when electives change, the subject for each teacher will switch.  All students will have each teacher all year. While the subject will change with the teacher, students will not see a schedule change; but will simply have a different subject listed on their schedule and in Illuminate for that hour.  For example, if Brandon has Mrs. Hayhow for Reading 1st hour and Mrs. Wegner for Writing 4th hour first semester he will then have Mrs. Hayhow for Writing 1st hour and Mrs. Wegner for Reading 4th hour for the second semester.

That said we are both VERY excited to work together with you to have a successful year in Reading and Writing.  It is going to be a great year!
