Welcome to 8th Grade Science and REWARDS 6,7,8

Hello, my name is Mrs. Gum. This is my 21st year of teaching. I teach 8th grade Science as well as REWARDS which is a reading intervention program.

 

In Science this year we will be using a brand new program called IQWST. This program is available to use due to a grant we received from the DART Foundation. This program will allow you to learn science in a cooperative, hands-on manor.  You can read more about our classroom and this program in our class syllabus.  

 

The REWARDS program is delivered in a small group environment.  The goal of this program is to increase word awareness in turn increasing fluency and reading comprehension. The syllabus for this class is also attached.

 

My goal for you this year is to help you learn new ideas while having fun learning.
