One of the most important responsibilities of the Eaton Rapids Public Schools Board of Education is hiring, supporting, and working alongside the Superintendent of Schools. With the announcement of Superintendent DeFrance's pending retirement, the Board of Education has secured the services of Michigan Leadership Institute to assist them in selecting the new leader of Eaton Rapids Public Schools.
The Board of Education is desirous of hearing from our employees, the community, and our students regarding points of pride for our district, future challenges, and the qualities that a new Superintendent should possess. In order to facilitate the gathering of this information, an electronic survey will be provided for our stakeholders to complete beginning on Monday, March 18, 2024 and ending on April 5, 2024.
Additionally, representatives from across the district will be invited to meet with Tom TenBrink, MLI educational consultant, in focus groups on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to discuss the important characteristics the next Superintendent should possess and the challenges facing Eaton Rapids Public Schools. Those attending the future interviews will be provided an opportunity to provide feedback to the Board of Education at that time as well.
