As the 2020-21 school year begins it is very important that the parents of all Eaton Rapids students receive information regarding the transmission of Covid 19 and the precautionary requirements and measures that will be in place within our school district for the safety and well being of our students and staff members. The following resources and documents are offered to provide parents the kinds of information and direction they may require as they strive, with our schools, to reduce Covid related risks or exposures which could bear upon the health and safety of their children.

- Wearing Masks and Daily Health Screening for Covid 19 Symptoms*
Two of the principal components of our district’s safety planning and responses related to the Covid 19 pandemic are the requirements that all students and staff members - unless qualifying for medical waivers - wear appropriate facial coverings or masks when at school and participate in daily “at home” health screenings before coming to school. In addition to social distancing and observing proper hygiene and sanitation practices, the wearing of masks and the regular screening for Covid symptoms will do much to reduce the risk of transmitting the virus among our school age population.
*Due to both cost and logistical factors, parents are asked to supply masks for their children (the district will have masks available for emergencies) and conduct the daily “before school” health screening. .
