Welcome to 4th grade! 

My name is Mrs. Babbitt.  I live in Eaton Rapids with my husband and our son. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.    I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education /Child Development  and my Masters degree in Literacy from Michigan State University.  In my free time I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time at our cabin in northern Michigan.

You will be learning many exciting things this year!  In science you will be studying Organisms in our Environment, View from the Earth, States of Matter, and Energy Transer. In social studies, you will learn about the United States through the eyes of Michigan.  You will advance your math skills through our new Everyday Math curriculum which includes reviewing previous skills and introducing new concepts through many hands on lessons.  Language Arts includes reading and writing.  You will explore the genres of fantasy, adventure, legends, poetry, and biographies.  4th graders also have encore classes.  These are Art, Communications, Spanish, and Physical Educaton.
