My name is Louise Sagaert, Special Services Teacher Consultant at Eaton Rapids High School.I have been working with special education student for 25 years at all grade levels. My position as teacher consultant allows me to get to know all special education students at the high school. I also responsible for working with small groups and individual students on assignments and tests, creating schedules, ACT/MME and MEAP testing for special education students, working with seniors on transition to college and the work world and much more.
My home life consists of owning and operating a wildlife rehabilitation center, WILDSIDE Rehabilitation Center, for injured, orphaned and ill native Michigan wildlife. My 25 volunteers and I are responsible for the rehabilitation of 1300 wild animals per year. The goal is release the animals back into the wild. I also hold educational permits to have non-releasable animals, like Starry, the Great Horned Owl in the picture. She is 15 years old and has been with me since she was a baby.
