The Middle School Media Center

In our building we have the school library with 12 computers which is centrally located on the second floor, 2 full computer labs on the first floor, and a writing lab on the second floor.  All computers have internet access through the school network. 

This year we have a new library cataloging system, Destiny, which is on-line based.  All the libraries in the district are connected through this one system.  Students can access the catalog through any school computer and eventually will be able to access it on any computer with internet access, such as a home or public library computer. 

Our library has over 7000 titles for students and staff to use for reading and reference.  Students may check out 2 books at a time, for two weeks.  Books may be renewed if the student has not finished in that time.   If a student forgets to bring back their books, overdue fines will be assessed at $.05 per day.  Students are encouraged to be responsible for their books and to bring them back on time!
