Welcome to Eaton Rapids High School!

The community of Eaton Rapids has provided continuous educational opportunities for its secondary students since the year 1842. Though times have obviously changed greatly over the 167 intervening years, the community's desire to offer the very best it can for its youth has always remained a strong and constant motivational force in our locality.

Our current school building and facilities result from three separate construction programs which commenced in 1962 and continued in 1970 and 1996. Our most recent addition provided for the renovation of all of our previously existing classrooms and, as well, the construction of a new fine arts wing including eight new language arts classrooms, new band and choral music rooms and a foreign language classroom. Two new laboratory classrooms for physics and chemistry, a new gymnasium with a seating capacity of over 2,500 people, a completely renovated auditorium and a significant variety of technological improvements rounded out the additions to our school building resulting from this construction project. Also included in the list of improvements for Eaton Rapids High School was the acquisition of 50 acres adjacent to the school for the future development of our athletic facilities. Currently, 8 tennis courts and brand new facilities for soccer, baseball and softball occupy this site.

Students at Eaton Rapids High School can select courses from a comprehensive program of studies with over 120 offerings in various academic and vocational categories. We are proud to offer this broad curriculum as it reflects our mission to address the educational and vocational needs of all of our students. We are also gratified to acknowledge that each of our students benefit directly from the outstanding physical facilities which have been provided for them and from their association with a dedicated faculty and staff that is committed to helping each student excel.

We are very proud of the accomplishments and achievements of our students, faculty and support personnel. All of these members of the "greyhound educational family" make our school a successful place to learn, grow and prepare for the future.
