Welcome to  Greyhound Intermediate  ART 4-6

My name is Colleen Shoup and  I have joined the staff at GIS this year teaching Art to students , grades 4th through 6th.  I have been teaching Art at ERPS since  1999 at Lockwood Elementary, Union Street Elementary and Northwestern Elementary.  I am pleased to be teaching  many of the students from the other buildings now at GIS.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Michigan.  I worked ( and still do) for 20 years as an illustrator and received a Master of Education (Art K-12) from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids.

Art curriculum at GIS will include 1st Rotation: Drawing, 2nd Rotation : Painting, 3rd Rotation: 3-D art, and 4th Rotation will  include a combination of curriculum including art history and  multicultural art.  We will also create some special projects including art for the ERPS Education Foundation annual dinner and auction.  GIS Art Cub will begin soon.  Information will be forthcoming.
