Welcome to Greyhound Intermediate School, a school for third, fourth, and fifth graders in Eaton Rapids Public Schools! This is my second year as principal at GIS and I am here to help all children grow socially, and academically. The kids often ask if I get paid to walk around and talk to them all day and I say, "Yes, don't I have the most fabulous job in the world!!" This year, I will tell the children on that first day of school that I have 3 main jobs: To help them LOVE to come to school, to keep them safe emotionally as well as physically, and to make sure the teachers can teach in the classroom and minimize distractions so everyone can learn something every single day they are here.

This is my 17th year in education, and my 12th year in Eaton Rapids. I have taught fifth and sixth grade in the district for eight of those years and have been in administration for the past four years.

 I am proud to be a part of the GIS family where we are constantly working together to help all students achieve success and have now received an "A" on the state's report card for three years in a row. Wahoo!!!

My personal vision is to create a world class elementary school with a strong family and community connection. I welcome and value your feedback, and ideas and believe it does "take a village to raise a child. "
