Marching Band

For band students, we will be spending our first trimester working on all marching band activities.  For more information, please see either www.erbands.org or join our group on Facebook by searching for "Eaton Rapids High School Band" to get approval to join.

Jazz Band

Jazz band students will be spending their time learning basics of improvisation rather than the traditional "big band" format used in the second and third term.

Music Appreciation A

Music Appreciation A will be focused more on the ingredients of music (melody, rhythm, and harmony) rather than the finished product.  Time will be spent exploring these "ingredients" in different eras of history and in various parts of the world.  Students will be exposed to a variety of styles--some of which will be familiar and many of which will not.
