Preschool at Greyhound Early Learning Center is an experience that will forever impact your child. Our goal is to prepare your child for kindergarten, as well as help them to be independent thinkers and successful life-long learners. The class curriculum is organized into weekly themes and lesson plans. We integrate mathematics, science, and language arts into these lessons. There is also a focus on fine motor skills (tying, lacing, holding a pencil, zipping, cutting) and gross motor skills (skipping, galloping, balancing, jumping.) In preparing your child for kindergarten we also teach them to recognize colors, shapes, numbers, their own name, and much, much more. We introduce ZOO PHONICS also. This is the the phonetic program used in kindergarten and on into first grade. Our preschool program prepares your child for kindergarten in every facet possible, and is an experience they will never forget. Children are encouraged to act independently, to make good choices for themselves, and to become responsible students. We believe that all children must feel safe and comfortable in their classroom, promoting these good choices
