ERPS "Going Green"

Solar Panels at High School

Check out our 3 kWh solar panels on the roof of our high school.

The energy collected is offsetting our electric bill and lowering our carbon footprint.

Solar Panels made possible by The Jayne Nikolic education fund and Mr. Jerry Adams.

Eaton Rapids Public Schools is involved in several green initiatives.  These include:

  • Annual Earth Day Celebration and Activities
  • Green School Designations at the High School and Northwestern
  • Nature Center and National Wildlife Designation at Northwestern
  • Grant Applications for Alternative Energy

These green initiatives offer our students opportunities for authentic, hands-on learning experiences in environmental science.  It provides them with an opportunity to provide a service to the community, and strengthens their sense of community pride.  They are also good for the environment, and can help reduce costs.

Please join with us in helping our students to "go green".
