Students at Eaton Rapids Public Schools are able to explore their interests and expand their horizons through a wide selection of career and college prep offerings. Beginning in Middle School, students are able to participate in a number of unique learning opportunities including space camp, rocket projects and seventh grade camp.
High School students have even more opportunities to explore and follow their chosen path for the future through a wide variety of courses designed to prepare them for post-secondary education and careers. Students can prepare for the rigors of college, with the opportunity to earn college credits, by enrolling in Advanced Placement classes. Subjects include AP Calculus, AP English, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP World History, AP Government and AP Spanish. Through Eaton Rapids Public Schools partnership with Lansing Community College, students can take college courses in the evening right on our campus and earn college credit while still in high school. Courses include Speech, Writing, Math, Sociology and Psychology.
Our partnership with LCC also extends to students with an interest in vocational training. Students are able to earn credit while enrolled in vocational classes on LCC's campuses. Courses of study include Commercial Art, Graphic Arts, Web Design, Fashion Technology, Interior Design, IT Support and Proramming, Aviation Technology, CAD/CAM, Heating & Cooling, Building/Construction Technology, Electrical Technology, Heavy Equipment Operation, Welding Technology, Criminal Justice, EMS/EMT and Firefighter, Early Childhood Education, Zoo/Aquarium Sciences and Landscape Design. Vocational education courses are also available at Eaton Rapids High School in drafting, industrial arts, commercial web design, and business.
All in all, Eaton Rapids Public Schools offers every student the ability to explore their future opportunities and choose the pathway that is rigth for them.
